For years, one question had a boring answer: which Minecraft server has the most players? It was Hypixel, and it was not close. So it turned heads on our tracker when a Polish server called rapy — reachable at rapy.gg — climbed into the same league. On a busy evening its live count now sits right alongside Hypixel's, and on the right ping it edges ahead. Here is how that happened, and what the data says.

Hypixel is still the bigger network over a full week — its seven-day average runs higher, and its all-time peak of %PLAYER_COUNT_PEAK_HIGH_2% remains untouched. What changed is that rapy became one of the very few servers on Earth to trade blows with it at all. During Polish prime time, rapy's live count reaches Hypixel's neighborhood, and on individual pings it has crossed in front.
Where rapy came from
We began tracking rapy on %DATA_SINCE_DATE_454%, and at that point it was already large — but nothing like today. rapy is the flagship of the Polish Minecraft scene, and it grew the way big Polish servers tend to grow: not on one headline mode, but on a bundle of them running under one address.
Log in and you are not dropped into a single world. rapy runs a spread of game modes side by side:
- BoxPvP — the fast, grindy PvP-and-economy mode that Polish servers are famous for, and rapy's engine room.

In our most recent growth snapshot rapy was up roughly a quarter month over month — a striking rate for a server already this large, where growth normally flattens.

Why a Polish server, and why now
Two things stand out in the data. First, regional scenes are enormous. rapy is tagged Survival and lists Polish as its language, and Poland's Minecraft community is one of the most concentrated and loyal anywhere. A server that becomes the default for a country of that size inherits a huge, habitual player base.
Second, the multi-mode network model wins on raw concurrency.
